On 1st of February, 2017 a
public discussion has been taken place in the Conference Hall of Congress Hotel
organized by Rights Information Center NGO. The discussion has been about the
accessibility problems of free legal aid given to conscripts in the Syunik
Region’s Court of General of Jurisdiction.
The representatives from RA Ministry of
Justice, The Office of Public Defender, Judicial Department of RA, Human Rights
Defender of RA, RA NA Standing Committee on Protection of Human Rights and
Public Affairs also lawyers, NGO directors, students were present in the
discussion.
Mr. Marat Dadunts, the director of Rights
Information Center NGO, have introduced the report published in the frameworks
of the project, where are placed factual statistical data about the
accessibility and the quality of the free legal aid given to conscripts.
The speakers present in the discussion,
have spoken out their opinions about the data of the report and suggestions.
They have mentioned that the report consists of objective analytic data and
disclosure of many problems that need a systemic solution.
Next is planned that the suggestion package
as the result of many suggestions during the discussion to introduce to
responsible departments and realize consistent initiatives to solve problems
existing in the domain.
